Hi. My name is Zee and I am the founder & chief stamper at Ekalake. I design, make, create each piece, source our findings, answer all customer enquiries, pack & ship every single order from start to finish - and I'll tell you this, I absolutely love my job!
The journey began in 2010 on Etsy (www.etsy.com). It was there that I slowly built an inventory (started out with just 10 items in store for 3 months!), developed personal and professional connections & established the store's reputation. I had one heck of a great time on Etsy.
2 years later, I decided to branch out on my own. To mark this occasion, I renamed the store and had already built a list of loyal customers who kept coming back for more - to them, I am ever-so-grateful for the trust & support placed in the brand!
I took a little break in mid-2014 where my partner (now husband!) & I decided to pack our bags, and jet-set off to a whole different continent. It is during this time that we were blessed with a little chubby boy that we love with all our hearts.
Fast forward to 2016, I realise that this passion for jewellery-making is deeply seated and something that I want to pursue for the rest of my life if I could, hence I made the decision to start from scratch all over again. And thus, in November 2016, Ekalake was born. It hasn't been an easy journey, but definitely a fulfilling one. I strongly believe in the saying that if you do something that you are deeply passionate about, then you never see it as just "work".
Every piece on offer has been well thought-out, is made exclusively in Australia and only comes in "limited" quantities with nothing that is mass produced.
People's stories are what inspires me.
Thank you for reading my story, and thank you for your continued trust and support in Ekalake. I am immensely grateful to every single customer who has ordered from my shop and placed their trust in my brand, right from the very beginining on Etsy.
I hope you love my creations, as much as I love making them for you.
